Please Note: You will only be able to post on GOAconnect with the email attached to your approved registration.
If you don’t see an email you posted OR you do not seem to be receiving emails, try the following:
1. Check your spam and junk email folders. (Forwarded emails (especially those sent from a subscribed service like those generated by the Village or schools) seem to be filtered as spam more frequently by many email systems. Therefore, you may only have a GOAconnect going to spam/junk on occasion.)
2. Authorize GOAconnect@glenoakacres.org in your email system as a sender to “trust” or “allow” emails going forward.
3. Add GOAconnect@glenoakacres.org to your address book.
If you continue to experience issues using GOAconnect or would like to verify that your message was sent, please send a request to admin@glenoakacres.org.

This service launched in 2021, in response to the dissolution of the GOA Yahoo! Group started in 2007. It is a benefit for GOA neighbors provided by the Glen Oak Acres Community Association (GOACA) and a direct benefit of payments to GOA annual association dues. It offers our neighbors a quick way to reach out to the neighborhood.
GOAconnect is a private social network for Glen Oak Acres residents ONLY. By using this email group, you agree to our terms of service and will post only items which contribute to respectful, helpful and neighborly behavior. The GOACA Board believes this standard is the foundation of a healthy community.
Note: unregistered, unsubscribed, or banned email accounts will not be able to send messages. Messages with flagged language will automatically be blocked.

USING GOAconnect:
Approved members can send a message to the subscribing members in our neighborhood by sending an email to GOAconnect@glenoakacres.org.
Responding to Messages:
To minimize unintended emails going to the full neighborhood, the system defaults (for most, but not all, email services) to responses going to only the person who sent the original email. If you want your reply to be sent to the entire neighborhood, you may need to add GOAconnect@glenoakacres.org in the “to” field.
How to join:
To join the GOAconnect, you must be a registered and approved GOA website member. Link here to register or learn more: https://glenoakacres.org/new-neighbor/ Please be patient with a response from our volunteers.
How to Unsubscribe:
On the bottom of every GOAconnect email, there is an “unsubscribe” button. Click on that and follow the instructions. If you do not receive notice that you have successfully unsubscribed please send your email and unsubscribe request to admin@glenoakacres.org.
How to Re-subscribe:
If you are a current GOA resident and approved registered member of the website, and you have previously unsubscribed and do not have access to GOAconnect, send a request for access to admin@glenoakacres.org. Please note this is only for people who have unsubscribed from the service, if you have never received a GOAconnect email, you will need to register to join.
What if I am not receiving the emails?
If you don’t see an email from GOAconnect in your inbox, check both your SPAM and JUNK folders. If found there, tag as not junk/spam and GOAconnect@glenoakacres.org should be authorized to your email system as sender to “trust” or “allow” emails going forward. Another helpful tip is to add GOAconnect@glenoakacres.org to your contact list.
Are there rules for using GOAconnect?
Yes, the Glen Oak Acres Community Association (GOACA) has instituted this service so our neighborhood can easily communicate, build relationships, assist those in need, and provide important health and safety information quickly. Any member who appears to use this service to disrupt, disrespect, or in any way diminish these goals will be removed. We hope through this neighborhood communication tool we will have yet another avenue to build a stronger and safer neighborhood.
